Card Payments *Preferred Method*
Card Payment in AUD
Cards accepted for payment in AUD are American Express, Diners Club, Visa, and Mastercard. You can pay with foreign cards but the currency is in AUD. The transaction is processed by TravelPay which is the name that will show on your statement. We do not charge fees, but you are responsible for any fees your bank charges.
Instructions: To make a card payment, enter your reference code and then select “AUD” from the currency dropdown. The amount due will be autofilled in AUD. You can pay this amount or delete it and enter the amount that you want to pay. If you decide to pay in a different currency (e.g. USD, GBP, or EUR), change the currency, and it should recalculate the amount due. Contact us if you need help converting.
Card Payment in EUR
Cards we accept are Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, UnionPay, and Discover. The transaction is processed by TropiPay so that (or sometimes Titanes) is the name that will show on your statement. We do not charge fees, but you are responsible for any fees your bank charges.
Instructions: To make a card payment, you will enter your reservation code and then select “EUR” from the currency drop down. It will autofill the amount due in EUR. Pay this amount or delete it and enter the amount that you want to pay. If you decide to pay in a different currency (e.g. AUD or USD), change the currency and it should recalculate the amount due. Card Payment in GBP
Visa and Mastercard accepted. The transaction is processed by Unlimit and will show as "Bigplanetadventures London GB" on your statement. We do not charge fees, but you are responsible for any fees your bank charges.
Instructions: To make a card payment, you will enter your reservation code and then select “GBP” from the currency drop down. It will autofill the amount due in GBP. Pay this amount or delete it and enter the amount that you want to pay. If you decide to pay in a different currency (e.g. AUD or USD), change the currency and it should recalculate the amount due. 1. Card payments: My payment didn't work.
Your card may not go through the first time. If that happens follow these steps:
Contact your bank and tell them to approve the transaction OR, check your email for the bank verification.
Once payment is approved, attempt the transaction again and repeat if necessary.
2. Card Payments: Why so many options?
We currently have in operation:
- two merchant accounts to accept payments in USD
- one account to accept payments in the UK in GBP
- one account in Spain to accept payments in EURO
There is no difference in the price you pay for our product. We have simply learnt that with transactions involving Cuba, some cards work better than others depending on the account & the bank. We give you more options to make the payment process easier!
