Our experience with US immigration in Houston was straightforward. The only thing that the immigration officer asked us is if we are bringing back tobacco or alcohol.

During actual traveling back, it was as if it were from any other country. Nothing different because it was from Cuba at all. That being said we have only been home for three days, so I dont know if we will actually be contacted in the future or not.

My agent only asked a few questions and welcomed me back. I let him know I was riding bikes in Cuba and Supporting the Cuban people. We talked about fruit, cigars and Rum. I don't drink or smoke so perhaps I seemed truthful when I said I have none of these items!

I told them I went to Cuba to support the Cuban People and I went on an educational tour while supporting the local economy. They kept asking me to elaborate and I was a little taken aback and flustered, but they finally let me pass.
