A trip to Cuba is an exciting experience, and being fully prepared ensures an enjoyable and hassle-free journey. Here’s what US citizens visiting Cuba will need:

  • D'Viajeros Form: Complete the D’Viajeros Form no more than 7 days before your departure to Cuba. The questions are straightforward and cover health-related information. It also includes a customs declaration form. After submitting the D'Viajeros Form, you will receive a QR code and an email, which you must show to immigration officers when you arrive in Cuba.
  • Cuban e-Visa: Cuba has streamlined its entry process with an electronic visa which can be purchased online. Find out more about how and where to get your travel visa for Cuba here.
  • Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least six months after you enter Cuba. Double-check the expiration date before you book.
  • Proof of Travel Medical Insurance: Present either an insurance policy document or certificate as proof of travel insurance that includes health cover for your stay. Please note this is included automatically on US flights to Cuba.

  • General Licence: This is your legal reason for travelling to Cuba. Cuban Adventures provides US travellers with a general licence affidavit to attest that the holder is travelling legally under the General License and will comply with the rules of the licence while in Cuba.

Yes, Cuba is generally a safe destination for visitors, with one of the lowest violent crime rates in the Americas. While petty theft, such as pick-pocketing, can occur, it is not widespread.
