From 2-5 October, Havana comes alive with the soulful melodies of Cuba’s iconic musical genre at the Festival Internacional Boleros de Oro. Commemorate the uprising against Spanish colonial rule that began on 10 October, 1868. Celebrate Cuban Culture Day on 20 October as communities showcase their heritage with authentic art, music and performances in honour of the first time the national anthem was sung—a crucial moment in Cuba’s revolution. Join us this November for Cuba’s Marabana Marathon
Get ready for Cuba’s biggest running event and one of the largest in the Caribbean when the Marabana Cuba Marathon returns to Havana on Sunday, 16 November. Join thousands on an epic route through the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Havana and along the city’s spectacular coastline.
Choose from 5km, 10km, half or full marathon distances, then walk or run past historic architecture and Caribbean Sea views. Our Havana Marathon Experience includes race participation, a post-race lunch and safe access to the festival atmosphere with street celebrations. Proceeds go to Cubans in Defence of Animals, who provide veterinary and adoption support for street animals.
