The Marabana is one of the largest marathons in the Caribbean. For over 30 years it has attracted thousands of runners both locally and internationally, even a celebrity or two! The route goes through the beautiful streets of Vedado, Centro Havana, and Old Havana where you’re surrounded by gorgeous UNESCO heritage architecture and the waves crashing against Havana’s famous seawall. You can run or walk the distances of 5k, 10k, half- or full marathon. No experience necessary!
Proceeds will benefit CeDA which provides veterinary and adoption services for street animals as well as advocacy for animal welfare and protection laws. The day before the race we will have an informational session at La Gargola Guesthouse so you can meet the other runners on the team, get your running singlet, and hear the plan for marathon day.
